      • To początek komentarza Emilii Ernst do zdjęcia "Promyk nadziei", które wykonała w ramach Międzynarodowego Konkursu Fotograficznego:

Can you see this beach? Beautiful, isn’t it? But what if I said it will be unable to exploit in the nearest future? It seems terrifying, but... that’s the reality in which we all are living in. Every day the degradation of the natural environment is becoming a very serious problem in regions visited by tourists – especially aquatic environment in insular regions. Such situation can be observed on the Balearic Archipelago in the southern Mediterranean Sea, which was visited by 13,5 million tourists in the last year. The danger comes from unguarded tourists who leave different rubbish everywhere, also in the sea. Not only does it take a lot of time for the litter to biodegrade, but it hurts sea creatures and birds. The plastic consumed by animals gets through their digestive system and causes their death. The human resourcefulness knows no borders and there were many situations of taking a bath in the sea - in consequence soaps, shower gels, shampoos and all damaging chemical substances were left in the sea. As a result, such activities are consequently destroying our planet. We must surely change it. How? It seems impossible for one person, but it’s not complicated. It should be enough to simply start telling people about the ecology issues to encourage them to care about the Earth and bring awareness to people that behave improperly. Our planet is counting on you - will you be the sparkle of the hope and help?

        JAKA BYŁA IDEA KONKURSU?

"Yes, we all live by the sea. No matter how far from the sea you live, next to the beach or far away in the mountains, you still have a great impact on it. We believe that educating people about the importance and the beauty of marine environments is the key to creating positive attitudes towards the sea. The idea behind this project involves a worldwide contest for young persons up to the age of 21. This project is based on the previous experience of a I live by the Sea contest co-organized by Today We Have in 2015-2017".
